Community Conservation in Action

Learn, connect, and help restore Southern California’s natural habitats.

Restoring 10+ Acres

Since 2011, ICRE has worked with volunteers to restore 10+ acres. Our community outreach events bring people together to care for local habitats while learning about wildlife biology, restoration ecology, and why this work matters.

Learn Through Hands-On Restoration from Restoration Ecologists

At Fairview Park, we’re continuing our restoration learning events, giving volunteers the opportunity to participate in the restoration process, from preparing a site and planting native species to maintaining habitat and observing its recovery.

Participants learn how to identify native and invasive plants, understand the connections between plants and wildlife, and discover how restoration supports biodiversity and healthy ecosystems. Activities vary with the season and the needs of each site.

Get Involved

We host monthly events where you can volunteer, learn new skills, and make a lasting contribution to local natural spaces. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to see the progress, we welcome your participation.

Sponsor A Planting Event

Bring your team together for a day of learning and habitat restoration. Sponsoring a planting event lets your company support local conservation while engaging employees in meaningful, hands-on work.

We’ll work with you to plan an event that connects your team with the site, its wildlife, and the purpose behind the restoration.
